    The purpose of this independent contractor position is to provide expert quality and special process related training to critical industries where safety and quality are shared goals. The eQuaLearn program offers training all over the world in topics as diverse as root cause corrective action, welding, pyrometry and statistical process control. This varied and autonomous role would suit someone who has experience and/or qualifications in manufacturing/engineering and is looking for a new challenge.

    Course Instructor Responsibilities:

    Being an eQuaLearn course instructor involves:
    • Conducting established PRI quality and/or special process training courses to groups of students who are typically already working in the field
    • Holding training sessions in person or virtually over the internet, supported by PRI staff
    • Supporting continual customer focus by sharing feedback to PRI staff regarding suitability of training venues and locations as well as student responses to the training content
    • Liaising with PRI’s preferred travel agency to organize a cost-effective travel schedule
    • Working with customers who require customized training to ensure their needs are incorporated into the course materials
    • Responding to questions during training sessions in a constructive manner
    • Representing PRI to our customers by acting professionally at all times

    Course Developer Responsibilities:

    Being a Course Developer for eQuaLearn involves:
    • Researching topics to include in training courses
    • Verifying the  technical accuracy of information to include in training courses
    • Working collaboratively with PRI staff to create course material in a logical arrangement for student comprehension
    • Responding constructively to feedback on course content
    • Revising course material as needed
    • Maintaining accuracy of existing materials, and make suggestions for improvements to, additions to, and deletions from those materials
    • Following defined style guidelines—or suggest improvements to those guidelines. Train and mentor others in following those guidelines
    • Developing project plans and timelines
    • Adhering to all applicable copyright laws


    To qualify to work as an instructor/course developer, applicants must meet the following general requirements:

    • Understanding of what it means to work as an independent contractor and willingness to engage with PRI in that capacity
    • Willingness to  travel to conduct training
    • Commitment to preserving the integrity of the training program, maintaining strict confidentiality, and to avoid all conflicts of interest
    • Expertise in one or more technologies
    • Excellent organizational skills in both oral and written capacities
    • Positive, diplomatic, and professional with customers (internal and external) and peers at all times
    • Subject matter experts with multi-industry experience i.e. aerospace, automotive, medical, nuclear, oil/gas etc. are in particularly high demand
